Help please!! Teraflex 2.5 lift install

So rear is done, but, the axle bracket for the track bar relocation part of the lift sure seems close to the rear spring.. Actually it's touching, everything is in line and I don't know what to do, even turning the spring wouldn't help because when the spring compresses it will still hit the track bar bolt... Just to be clear its the axle side bracket I have, not the frame side.

I figured awesome since no drilling, but now this problem. Can someone help me please!?
Thanks a lot!!!!!

Blake

I've got the positioning of the bracket correct, but the bolt and nut that secure the track bar to the bracket, well, the nut rests against the spring.. I don't understand..

On a side note, thanks for the quick replies guys!!!! You rock!

Try tuning the bold around so the head is towards the spring instead of the nut.

I don't think that will work either, I tried sizing it up both ways. I'm hoping my spring looks like it's center but just actually isn't

Is the axle shifted over until the track bar is connected?

I have the track bar bolted on but it's the nut for the bold that holds it that is making contact, if I could ever give any advice to anyone considering doing their own lift. Take the money u saved as opposed to going to a shop and buy an impact if you dint have one.... I don't and I'm exhausted and still not finished. And a super tall jack. Swapping blocks around is a real pita! I can't wait till I can't hold my head up tomorrow!

wow... thats interesting. Your spring has to be out of the isolator up top. I dont have a logical explination for anything else. Are you re-using factory bolts or an upgrade kit? An actual pic will really help us and you.

Still the same. It seems a little better then before but still not really level to my liking. TF told me to get back to them in a month, which is this week. I'll let them know that its still not bettter. At this point, Im in the market for a new bumper and a winch in the future so, Im probably gonna let it go. Its about 3/4" now. How you doin? I like the new tires. It looks good.

Thanks man.

I'm still about 1/2. That's measuring at the flares though. Pitch seem front and back is
level. Much less noticeable with the bigger meats. Everybody stops and looks at the jeep, it's great.
Surprised TF made you wait a month

OP , no way you can get some pictures?

I was dealing with Joe Thompson at TF. He asked me to give it a week or two then he would be away for the last 2 weeks of the month. He was alright. The whole thing is my springs dont have #'s on them. They said some older kits wont have #'s on the springs, but the new kits all have them labeled. I guess I got an older kit. I dont know what I have and neither do they?(2dr or 4dr) WTF, you know? That being said I dont know what they can do? I asked them to send someone to my house to see for themselves. They said they wouldnt do that and they'd take care of it another way. I told them that would be fine but i'm not doing anymore work, or they could pay me. He laughed? I was serious.LOL

Mine has numbers.

They changed their lift coils. Before people were seeing 2-3-4" depending on the jeep.
Now we will get close to what is listed or less with added weight.

All you need is 1mm. Lol
The old style you had to drill, too much risk of messing up the hole. This is the new style that takes away a bit of the guesswork. If people are still getting the frame style its probably older inventory.

I think I gained something like that. My rig had the softest springs come on it.

I see you got new shocks, how are they? I like the stiffer shocks. The whole ride is so much better than stock for me with the Bils 5100. The Teraflex do look better though!

Ya... My hole did not line up. Ended up drilling it out as the instructions warned NOT to do

That sucks. I thought about doing a rear
adj. bar soon anyways. maybe I will scrap that mount and buy a axle side one.

Even with a adjustable TB I read it's beneficial to still keep the axle mount So the TB remains parallel with the axle.

First i have to take care of my ball joints and tie rod ends

A little softer. I think my problem was with my tires and/or my ball joints. Tires were 5 years old and what a difference switching to the newer rubber. Also the small vibes I've been getting, passenger side tie rod is shot and my factory ball joints an their way out also.

Ahhh, it was you that I saw it from. Toughest part of balljoints was getting passenger axle shaft back in. I had to fish a little plastic ring out with a coat hanger. Guess its for aligning the splines in the dif.

There was a write up recently, Plus Mike has done them before. Nothing like having someone with experience at your side

Lift was a success. I climbed under the jeep and pushed on the spring with my boot, and POP. There seems to be enough clearance now but you'd thing it would have been engineered a little different? Either way next time I'll have an entire lift in a shop with air tools... I've never hated fine thread so much in my life. Or my driveway for that matter. Regardless thanks for all your guy's help, much appreciated.
Front before was 35 1/2 and rear was 34 3/4 from the ground to the bottom of the fender, now it's 39 1/2 and 38. That's 4" in front and 3 1/4" in back.
Am I going to need a new driveshaft?? I specifically bought the 2.5" for a 2 door(even says 2 dr on the box) to avoid buying a driveshaft.

Thanks
Blake

You should be fine. Mine had high gains like that also due to weak stock springs. Mine also settled about 1/2" after a bit.

No you should be fine. You most likely had
soft springs from the factory.

Cool, yeah I had a 14 and a 13 in the front and 55s in the back. That means I can spend the ds money on an evo 1/4 pounder bumper and save for a winch!
