Help...rear door hinges are taking a beating

Does anybody else have a problem with rocks chipping the paint on the rear door hinges. I would add mud flaps but my nerf bars are in the way. I have thought about shortening them but a little afraid of screwing them up.

This may sound crazy...but it works awesome.

Pull the hinges out, sand out all the paint, and apply like 3 coats of Duplicolor bedliner. You know, that spray shit in the can. Let it sit a day or 2.

Search around and you can even color match the liner to match your jeep, or just roll with the black. It looks good too.

I had that problem too! I just use the touch up paint from Mopar to match the color.

And, don't tell Infernogirl, but, I finally had to go with the Mopar mud flaps!!!

They do fit with step bars! I didn't think they would but it worked with mine.

Also, they work with the Rock Rails as well!

I also have changed the screws and have small tools handy so I can pull them off quickly for off-road, etc.

Works well for me if you can stand the look!

Good luck!

Sonorasun, can you tell me exactly which mud flaps you purchased? I need some as well and have been looking. Part #? How did you attach them?

More importantly it will keep the asphalt off the doors when the knuckleheads here in NC are repaving roads that they didn't pave correctly the first time through. Tax dollars at work!!!
