Help with Jack on sand

I bought my first JKU (2012) last year and will be taking onto the beach this spring/summer for the first time but don't want to be that guy.

The only jack I have is the one that came with the Jeep. Will that be sufficient with a 2X8 or 4X4 should I get stuck? Obviously I plan on deflating. What pressure should I go down to?

FYI....Stock JKU (hopefully not for long).

Manual says deflate to 15lbs, and have something with you to inflate it afterwards

Try to find a piece of 1/2" plywood in a 1x1 ft square. That would be ideal to me.

Thanks. I figured the 4X4 would be a bit much as the JK isn't lifted yet.

I bring a 18" 2x6 with me in my gear. No special reason for the length it is just what I had.
