Exclamation HELP with soft top mod!! couldn't find info i needed else where

hey guys found a soft top for pick up but got some questions since it came up... im getting a brand new unused top with hardware. but i hear there are some parts on the jeep (that came with the Dual package deal) there are some brackets on the rollbar

This is what one person told me but not sure :

" I just had to get the rear brackets off his rear rollbar and ask for the rear clips and straps. He did not know they belonged with the top. He only knew about the door surrounds, hand screws, rear bar, windows and the top itself. "

because another told me that the rollbar brackets were welded on. i have a 2010 jk the soft top owner has a 2010jk with the 2010 top. so did they change something for the year jeep or do those other parts come off?
pictures will also be helpful.

explain what i should be expecting to have with the hardware and all for it to work on my jeep:beer:

Jeep Parts, Jeep Accessories, and Jeep Soft Tops from The Jeep Parts Specialists | Morris 4x4 Center has a good diagram of all the parts required for soft tops. See if that helps.

All you need is the top, door surrounds, windows, tailgate retainers, bow mount brackets, and the screws to attach bow mount brackets to the roll bar (those aren't too important because you can just pick them up at the local hardware store). below are some pics of the bow mount brackets and tailgate retainers.

I just bought a dual top soft top off of craigslist, so I know for sure what needs to come with it.

Sounds like he has everything except the tailgate retainers and the bow mount brackets. By the way, nothing is welded onto the jeep. The brackets just screw on under the padding on the roll bars, and the tailgate retainers just clip on to either side of the tailgate to hold in the tailgate bar in place, so you should be all set if he has those.
