Question High Idle 2012 JKU

when i cold start my 2012 jku sport, the idle is higher than normal. im under the impression the computer does this so that the engine warms up faster, but i hate this, and Im wondering if theirs a way to shut this feature off. I think i know the answer to this question and its probably "no," but i figured if their was a way to do it then some1 here would know.

its got 2500 miles

thanks for any replies

If there's a way to turn it off, I'm unaware of it.

Maybe start the engine, then stand on the gas so the engine screams at full rpm till the pistons explode outta the hood?

That might work.

The ECU is programmed to do that during
cold temps, its so the oil will warm up and cycle through the engine faster.

Why the heck would you want to disable that?

You want it to idle high until it warms up. Similar to the old ckokes on carbs. It would idle fast then step down as it warmed up.

If it's way to high you coukd have it looked at. Check your tach to see how many RPM's it idles at.
