High mileage JKs?

I am seriously considering buying a new JK that I will use as a daily driver and for mild-medium wheeling. My only concern is the durability of these vehicles. This primarily comes from comments I have read on this forum. Unfortunately, I am not made of money so if am going to throw down 30k or so for a new vehicle I expect it to last (without major issues) for at least 7 years. I have a 98 F150 with 245k mileage now and it is going strong. I have seen plenty of Cherokees still on the road with mileage like that, but I don't know anyone with a JK.

Granted, if you use it off-road there is a good chance you will break something. That I am okay with. I just don't want to be in for warranty issues every 2 months if I happen to be doing nothing other than driving it to work.

Well the jk has only been around since 07 so to even come close to 245k miles someone would have to average around 60k a year since they been out..but if they are any indication of previous wranglers, you will be good for your 7 years your expecting

The JK began with the 2007 model year so they haven't been around that long. There are some at or approaching 100K. The 3.8 has been used in other Chrysler vehicles that have reportedly gone well over 200K.

My grandpa has like 320K on his caravan with a 3.8 in it. Its fine, he is an experienced mechanic and keeps his vehicles tip top though.
