high pitch noise during acceleration

Hey guys i just got a 08 jeep rubicon on wednesday and ive noticed that whenever im accelerating moderately that i hear a high pitch noise almost like the metal on metal noise worn down breakes make, but a lot quieter. If its common on this engine then i will not worry about it and just turn up my radio but if it is a bad problem i want to get it checked out. So what do you think?

What happens when the brakes are applied? Any change, does it go away?

Does your Jeep have a cold air intake or throttle body spacer?

Supercharger? I agree to check the brakes, also check any belts to see if one may be worn and slightly slipping

I'm willing to bet it is the CAI.....thats one of the drawbacks to having one installed....marginal benefits, squeal/whistle noise during acceleration and susceptible to water getting sucked into your engine.

Are you sure it's not a turbo?
