Hoist for Top

I'm looking for any ideas on building a hoist in my garage to raise and lower my hard top. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm sure that you could hook up a pulley system or you could check out the hoist systems in the different jeep catalogs.

The pulley should be easy for you
but look at the kits to see how they attach
to hard top, I do know its a 4 point system

I can remember when I was young and stupid enough to remove my hard top by myself every Friday afternoon...the hoist is a much better choice.

haha...yeap. i almost broke my neck once and the hardtop. after that, i said no more, and setup the hoist.

even if you don't make your own, it is still worth the $150 or so Lange wants for their system just so you can do it yourself safely, and know that your $2500 top is secure.
