Holy smokes, what a machine!

The drive home was sublime. Almost like a daydream.

Sitting at a light about halfway home with the Doobie Brothers riding shotgun, I caught a reflection of myself as I flipped over the rear view mirror.

I was grinning like an idiot.

Wait until you take the top & doors off. You'll need a bib.

I'm gonna be honest. I bought the Rallylights upgrade, the Ace Sliders, and the Q-Tec floor liners as well as a few other odds and ends, but I can't conceive of why I'd wanna change another thing on it.

Okay, maybe the stereo......but it all feels almost perfect to me.

I guess I'll have to acquire more than 29 miles on it before I render a real opinion.

But still.

Yup, I had a garage full of stuff waiting on mine. Literally.

The best part though, was that it took over a month after I got it for my tires to come off backorder. So I had time to play around with it, stock. You definitely don't need a lift and big tires to make it go just about anywhere you point it.

Friggin awesome.

Before you crash every night, massage your cheeks for a few minutes. They'll be a little sore from all the grinning.

Yeah and just wait until you wheel it. I can't believe what it can do basically stock.

There were already 10 miles on it so to be honest, I've really only done 19 miles.

Also, I promised to be home by dinner time with the wife's favorite take out.

Did I mention that I bought it without talking to her first?

I put 330 on her before the first 24 hours..I didn't want to get out I was having so much fun...or it could have been because it was -5 out..either way, 3 Jeeps later and I catch myself smiling on the way home every morning from work. It gets better watching the misses and her 5ft frame try to get into it with a skirt and heels...that's when the smiles turn into utter laughter

Welcome, and congrats!

I barely remember my drive home. It was also dreamlike.
I remember the words "holy crap" being repeated quite a few times.

I bought it in August and a couple still slip out from time to time.

Congrats on the new JK.

My wife was pissed off too. I just went for a test drive and one thing lead to another and I bought the 12 JK Sport four hours later.

The only way i got out of trouble this time, was to buy her the car she wanted. 2012 GMC Terrain (fully loaded of course).

Now everybody is happy, except Mr. Checkbook

You should really wait until you're in the privacy of your own home for that.

I can positively tell you it is the most awkward phone call you ever make. Even though the number was stored in my phone, I dialed each number individual to drag it out. There's just no good lead in to "oh yea, btw"

I wanted another Jeep for years. When it came time to replace the family hauler I didn't even bother to bring up the word Jeep as I didn't think the conversation would go anywhere. My wife brought it up and not only did she bring up Jeep she wanted a Wrangler. She had listened to my accounts of adventures and time I spent with my father working on his Jeep. She wanted my sons to have the opportunity for the same. Our Rubi has improved our family life. My 12 year old is with me whenever I'm checking the oil, rotating the tires, mounting accessories. We'll be out in it today, probably to take us ice fishing with the comfort of knowing we can get in and back out. Our lives do not rotate around the Jeep but I credit it with making our weekends a lot more fun.
Holy smokes, what a machine!

I see that rule 18 is in full effect here. "It is better to ask for forgiveness than seek permission."
