Real paracord has 7 strands, and woven like that, his handle may be stronger than the bar it is attached to.

So when the bar breaks from the 550 lbs hanging on it the strap "still intact" will bring the bar down to impale the driver? Sweet!

I kid!! I kid!!!

I found a thread about makeing them and have been thinking about making some too. Paracord Grab handles ~ how to make your own. There's a pretty fancy one in there on the 3rd page

Everyone knows the real test is if you can tow and winch off of them

That's a cool idea to put the PVC in there

Q-tec sells grab handles with Velcro for $4.99 each, so I didn't bother making my own. They are easy to attach and work like a charm.

I would think the weak link is the links not the para cord itself. What do you use for the connections between the three pieces?

Paracord links them together but I think I'm going to redo them so it one piece linked by a d-ring shackle. Like the link above. Think that is a better look

Not bad! I just went to ACE Hardware and bought a 2' length of flat nylon webbing. Wrapped it around the bar 3 times, trimmed the excess - and done! Cost < $1.50

Got pictures. I cannot imagine how that ends up being a handle Are you talking about how you connected a para-cord handle?
