Hood lock

I am thinking about locking the hood. My installed grill screen insert would probably interfere Mopar type of lock.

Has anyone installed Rampage locking hood catch set? I hope to see some positive feedbacks before ordering them.

I have the Rampage and I like them. No more hood flutter and easy to install.

I've had mine installed for a few years now. Only issue is sometimes the pin wants to move around a bit. I just recenter it manually before I close the latches.

I have these as well...we did have to do some filing to get the latches to fit right--they were too tight otherwise--but other than that, it was easy and I've been happy with them so far.

They seem to work fine, never had any problems. Willysgal, what did you file down to make it fit better? I too have one side that is too tight, so tight in fact that my hood rubs the body and scrapes away some paint

Many here have said the Rampage locks are easy to install but I could not get them on - had to return them. I am a blithering idiot when it comes to mechanics so that could be the reason. However, I have heard of others having difficulty installing. The space available to fit fingers/tools etc is tight.

i just installed these last weekend. The space is tight but with a 1/4 inch socket and 1/4 flex universal joint for the socket it was pretty easy install.

The filing we had to do was a PITA and it took patience to try them, take them off, do more filing, retry, etc. It was not a quick install for us. It seems to be a function of the Jeep more than the part, I think...but who knows. My latches fit differently from the driver to passenger side. It was worth it but takes some time. I know some other people that could not get them on either so don't feel bad!
