Smile How big can you go on a stock Jeep (Rim and Tire)

Okay Im new to this forum thing but I'm wondering what size tire can you go on an 18x9 Rim on a Sahara Unlimited without doing a lift? I'm going to eventually lift her 4" but its looking like I have to order my jeep with the 5 not 7 spoke like I want so I want to buy rims n tires.

Thanks

So you are ordering a new 2012? Why a 4" lift? What is your end goal? 4" is over kill if you aren't going any bigger than a 35" tire. Plus you'll need a slew of other components that aren't included in a lift kit such as driveshafts, exhaust spacer (new for '12), front lower control arms to name a few.

On a stock rig you can fit 33" tires and typically an 18" wheel is too much wheel for a 33" tire IMO. I would go 17" or lower. Plus rubber is more expensive for an 18" wheel, but it's your rig...

A 4" lift is just plain unnecessary, unless you plan to run 40's or something.

As for tires/rims without any lift, everything you need to know is in the thread below:
