How can I tell which soft top I have? Premium or Standard

Hello all, need a little help. Bought my 2012 JKU (Altitude Edition) new and it came with "dual top group". It shows as $890 on the sticker. (Sunrider soft top with "deep tint sunscreen windows"). So I want to sell it and called the dealer for pricing. The "premium" is $1875, and the standard is $1375. I just went and looked at the top and the boxes it came with (all still unopened) and don't know which it is. The windows are deep tint if that helps...... Thanks

You should have the standard.

The premiums didn't start until 2013. You will know one when you see it..it isn't vinyl, it is a deep black and looks like cloth or fabric.

Premium top will be black inside and out, whereas the standard top is like a light gray inside.

inside lining of the premium is black with a cross hatch kind of pattern, i mean jet black interior lining. The standard top is vinyl and the inside lining is gray. Basically a twill fabric outer cover, black patterned inner lining is premium.

If you would ship to Texas, I would buy it.

Ok so when the dealer gave me price options he included the new for 13 premium top price because it will fit my vehicle, based on vin. So the 12 did not have a premium option just a dark tint option which was included with the Dual Top group. ......? I think. Inside is grey btw. :Banghead:

would probably have to go freight, doubt it would be feasible through the standard options of UPS/Fedex. Cost prohibitive if you ask me.

If you want to sell it, a thread should be started in the classifieds as to keep the JK tech section clear from For Sale threads.

Best place to get pricing to sell them would be Craigslist. I've seen new 2012 JKU tops go for as low as $500 of CG, but I think that average is probably $750-$800 for new non-premium tops. It also depends on the time of year. You might be able to get more now than in November.

Definitely was going to use that forum, once I learned what I have. Will probably use Craigslist too. Thanks.
