How long did your soft top last?

I have a 2007 JKU and I think my soft top is shrinking. The windshield bow seems warped and not sitting as flush to the windshield as it once did and last week while putting up the top and zipping in the side window the stitching came undone along the zipper line. I should mention that I live in AZ and the sun is pretty harsh out here, but I was still po’ed when it ripped.

Anyone else have this issue?

Silver lining is now I have an excuse to get the Trextop NX

Mine only gets about 4 months of use a year, so I am hopeful it will last a long time. I do regularly use Areospace 303 on it to aid in the UV protection. I also use McNutt zipper treatment to keep them sliding freely. I haven't noticed any stitching damage yet, so I'll have to keep an eye open for that. Being it is an '09
I expect it has some life left in it yet. I always figured it would be the windows that wore out first in my case! So I try and take good care of them as we'll.

My TJ soft tops typically lasted 4-5 years. Those were on year round. By then the windows were usually pretty cloudy and the top had that mildew scent to it

Atleast anyone can diy the top on a wrangler. I changed a top on my sebring to save about 800 in labor costs. Omfg. And that was an aftermarket top that just bolted in the back, factory was stapled and i couldnt imagine ever making that work..

Mine is on full time as well and down almost all summer even when we hit 110. I guess it's normal wear and tear after 6 years.

Now... Where did I put that Quadratec catalog?

I use my soft top full time. It's been holding up well except for a pin sized hole right about the passenger.
