How long of a wait for RK lift?

Ordered the RK 2.5" stock mod kit from 4WD Hardware on the 18th. Called last Friday to check on the kit and was informed that it would be drop shipped from the vendor and they were having to make the coil springs. Just called back today and they told me it would probably be next week before they get the coils. Is it normal to take three weeks before shipping? I have shocks and bump stops from 4WD already and am getting the itch to turn some wrenches.

Most RK stuff is two weeks out, they just moved to a new larger facility so Iím sure they are still getting settled in.

Mine took a month. Said there were some slowdowns with the coils for JKs. Going to install today!

A month? I don't know if I can wait that long, the anticipation is killing me. I am going to have to move the Bilstiens out of the living room so I am not constantly reminded.

Mine ended up being about a month when I ordered back in September. I was told by Jason at KOR that RK found a flaw in the springs and had to fix it. I was happy to wait and let them get me quality springs.

Yeah. He said RK had a batch they weren't happy with and didn't want to send them out. I was cool with waiting since it meant their high standards took precedence over getting product out the door.

I ordered the RK 2.5 X-Factor on the 7th of Feb and am still waiting. I have Rancho RS9000XL shocks, ACE C-Gussets, EVO Rear LCA skids, and 315/75R16 Duratracs on MB TKOs waiting patiently in my garage. To pass the time I installed my Teraflex Hinged Tire Carrier, Exhaust Spacer, and welded on the front LCA skids. The waiting sucks but I'm sure it'll be worth it to have stuff that's up to spec. At least that's what I keep telling myself...

From their post on Facebook this morning:
Our next next BIG bulk shipment of 2.5" coils is finally in route! We should be getting caught up on all orders and doing much better with order turn around times in the upcoming weeks. Our move did slow us down a bit and put us behind, but with all the new equipment coming in, we should be good to go very soon. We are still working on the organization of the new facility, but it is coming along nicely now!

I'm waiting on my 2.5" MT too so this is good news!

Damn, I thought I wrote this myself but my names not Wsttimes...

Same thing here, Ordered the Max Travel 2.5 from 4Wheel Parts and had an install for my JKUR tomorrow but got the call that the kit never came in due to coils. 35"s are already on the vehicle (mounted last night) and have the stock wheels already sold.

But, I'm looking at this thinking can 2.5 " really be enough?

I'm moving to the 3.5 Flex kit and now need to determine if 5100 or 7100 Bilstiens will be best.

Also this kit should arrive next week so I don't have to wait till after the 16th in March.

The folks at Rock Krawler also noted that the 2.5 lift will encounter hitting the stock fenders on occasion while off road. Yes, I'll need deal with a new drive shaft but that is easier than adding another inch of lift at a later date.

Yes. Mine took about a month (ordered two months ago, got it a month ago). Well worth the wait.

I think so. Only in the extreme flexing it may rub. I haven't had any yet, but then I haven't gotten the chance to really try. I don't know why they call it a 2.5" lift. I got 4" up front and 2.5" in the rear on my 2012 JKUR.

The RK 2.5" max travel lift should really be labeled as a 3.5" lift for JKUs and 4.0" lift for JKs from reading what is typical on WF.

I got 3.5" on the front of my JKU even with an aftermarket bumper, winch, rock rails, etc. I'm pretty sure with flat fenders I could manage to run with 37" tires.

This is with 35's:

RK does state you can run 37s with flat fenders and their 2.5" MT lift.

Edit: Great looking ride BTW Brighton.

Thanks, but I really need your Bushwacker flat fenders.

My bank account needs to recover a little first.

Well, sounds like it is taking a little longer than I wanted for the right reasons. Good to know they didn't just send out some crap to get orders filled. I keep seeing pics of these Jeeps like the two above that makes me want to get some mods done. I am still waiting on the 315/75/17 Duratracs and MB TKOs from DTD but hopefully that is tomorrow or Saturday. I did get my Highrock rear bumper in so I will get to turn some wrenches anyway. From the sounds of it, I may need to get a front bumper and winch on the way so this thing isn't riding with its nose in the air once the lift goes on.

Well, at 8 last night my lift finally arrived, so almost a month wait. Now, due to plans already made, it's going to another week and a half til I have time to put it on.....
