How long will my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited last?

No question about it, this is my dream ride! I had the little matchbox jeep wrangler as a kid and now I finally have the real thing. Jeep's are pricy, but I think totally worth it. When I talk to people about it, I tell them I plan on keeping this for 10, 15, maybe 20 years. Any why not, unlike most vehicles Jeeps gain character over the years. Battle scars. Trail badges. I truely believe i'll love mine just as much 20 years from now. The only question is, will it hold up? I do trails but nothing to serious, I anticipate only normal wear and tear over the years. With scheduled maintanence, and just the right amount of TLC, how long do you think I'll be able to keep my Jeep? (forever is an acceptable answer btw)

All depends. There are still really old old old classic cars that run. Do maintenance religiously. Upgrade and repair when needed. And it will last a long time. Watch for rust if you are in a climate where it is an issue.

I totally agree I have a 20 year old YJ that starts and runs great, I do all my own maintenance and it's never broke down on me, it did need the basic stuff replaced starter, waterpump etc but I was able to do that stuff as well. Yes as they get older they still look good even banged up a little from years of use.

I passed what appeared to be a pretty new Wrangler 4dr for sale here in town. I've seen it around, very CLEAN.
I stopped and it was an '08 with 118,800 miles on it and runs/looks like new.
I believe if maintained - Jeeps are great performers and I own Toyotas too

You can pretty much keep any vehicle running indefinitely. It's just a matter of how much time and money you're willing to keep pumping into it. I've run cars half a million miles.

I plan on keeping mine a good long while. I like it, have a history of hanging onto my vehicles, and take good care of them.

Mine is also a 2014. I purchased the lifetime MaxCare warranty for it. I think in the long run, it'll prove to be a wise investment. If you really plan on hanging on to your Jeep, you might want to consider the lifetime warranty. And there are one or two gentlemen on the forum who can give you a decent deal on the warranty.

The downside is if you plan on modding your Jeep. Mods give the dealers/manufacturers an out when it come time for repairs. The more mods, the more an extended warranty may be affected. I say may cause you won't know until it's time to use it. There don't appear to be any hard and fast rules with mods and warranties. It seems to be up to how the dealer/manufacturer feels that particular day.

It will last until either you are not willing to pay what it costs to maintain it, or they stop making parts for it. Whichever comes first.

Considering they are atill making new engines and body tubs for the Jeeps made in the 80s, the first one is more likely then the second.
