Talking to my dealer today,he told me my jeep was being painted today. I was just curious if anyone knew how many days it takes the factory to acually build a jeep. He did not know.

From the time the body is put into the robots until it is driven off the assembly line is about 18 hours. They only have room for about 750 Wranglers on the assembly line and at current production levels of 42 per hour that means it takes 17.86 hours for one Wrangler to take the entire journey.

Heck, I had the one I ordered stuck in a train depot 100 miles outside of Houston for two weeks before I finally just cancelled the order in disgust. Bought one more local and wound up with a better mix of options to boot, although it was a 2015. Might have actually been the last 2015 off of the assembly line as the build date was September, 2015 and didn't show up on the Georgia dealer's lot till the last days of September. On the brighter side, I got the longer drivetrain warranty that was cut for the 2016s.
