Hooray for us with a "few more miles on the odometer."

I'll turn 51 next month. The first "new" vehicle that I wanted to purchase was a CJ many years ago, but we just couldn't afford it. Over the years I've had my share of "cool toys" (Z28s, Corvettes, an HD, and Crotch Rockets). Well, back in November, I finally purchased a Jeep! It's not about age, midlife crisis, or anything else. It's just having a vehicle that "fits me" and I enjoy owning, and the kids and grandkids all love it. Now I'm part of the "addiction", owning a "work in progress".

I turned 50 last July, ordered my first Jeep in August, youngest left for college early September, Jeep delivered late in September, then lost my Dad in October.

Talk about an up & down year!

All primed for Act II.... Life is good!

My BMW sits in the garage too.. E90 M3 -- comes out to play on the track though.

Sorry for invading, since I'm 50 / 2.

Our Sahara is my wife's DD. Before she bought it 4 months ago she test drove a 328i, among several other vehicles. You can see in my avatar what she ending up buying and she loves it.

She's also in her 50s.

They say everyone has 3 ages:
  • Your chronological age (how long you have been on the planet)
  • Your physical age (how old your body feels)
  • Your mental age (self explanatory)
That being said,
  • I was born a little over 54 years ago.
  • I'm in pretty good shape so I think my body is in it's late 30's
  • The best part is that when I'm behind the wheel of my Jeep I feel like I'm in my late teens

Couldn't have described myself better. Just turned 54 but when driving my jeep I'm ageless - especially with the top off!!

57 here, on my 4th wrangler (had 3 TJs). Traded in my '12 Challenger R/T for the JK. Loved the R/T but it was so damn pretty I was afraid to leave it anywhere so it sat in my garage while I drove my POS company car.
