I am curious how many renew their Sirius XM radio after the free year trial runs out on their Jeep. Also why or why not?

Thanks.

Mike.

^^^ This.

I plan to, also. Hardly ever listen to radio w/commercials anymore. Satellite or i-tunes is pretty much it for me.

One thing, Mike. Make sure your dealer has submitted your subscription. There was a thread on here shortly after I bought my Jeep from a member who'd had his Sirius cancelled after two months (something like that). He found out that the dealer hadn't started his subscription, and the "trial period" that the dealer gets for vehicles on the lot had run out.

Not sure what the resolution was for him, but Sirius can be a beast to deal with. I won't give em my cc #, either. Basically, I saved their e-mail with my acct # in it, and set up my computer calendar to notify me a month before my subscription comes due at the end of the year.

I've read about them charging customers' cc's even after they tried to cancel. I'd rather just deal with em from a position of absolute power, if that makes sense. :)

I do not. Mostly because I do not like paying for it when I only listen to it about 10% of the time.

I also never get the right CS rep that lets me talk them down to a lower price. I believe that this has to do with karma, because I had a Mazda 6s for about three years and never paid for the Sirius. It was on when I bought the car new and it was on when I traded it in 3 years later.

If you like siruis, this is what you need to do.

Cancel after first year

They will then send you promotions at a discounted price. The offer keeps getting better if you ignore it. The lowest they will come down to, is 50% off for one year subscription. That's when you sign up again.

Repeat the same process every year.:thumb:

I, in fact am going to be getting rid of the radio and losing about 9 months service, and not looking back.

I loved it while I had it but after I figured out I could get internet radio over my android and play through my bluetooth on my head unit, I didn't see why I should pay anymore. Especially after they way they added fees the first time and auto renewed me at a outrageous price, I don't like that kind of tactics. They tried to get me back with lower rates but free is much better.

Not sure how they stay in business myself with I-phones and Androids now

They'll do anything to keep people....I had a billing issue with them and while it was eventually taken care of, it was a total pain in the ass....low ranks for CS from this customer. I eventually let it lapse. Then a year later they offered some big promo deal and I decided not to bite....I'll stick to CDs and my iPod.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD OOR BANK INFO!!!!!
you are signing up for automatic renewals when you do.
i had to cancel my card to get them out of my account.
they keep mailing me renewals now $25.00 for 6 months
still dont even want to deal with them now at any price.
do a google search on sirrus complaints you will se what i mean.
if you do renew send them a money order!
