How many windshields have you had?

1000 miles into Wrangler ownership, and I already have 2 cracks. Was hoping to ride out the winter, but I don't need a ticket.

Thank goodness for zero deductible glass coverage.

I went through 5 in 4 years on my KJ

So far, only 1 crack on the JK glass. It happened about a week after I got the Jeep.

Gotta love vertical windshields.

No chips or cracks yet in the year i've had my 2010 JK. My last truck only had to replace it once and that's because I moved to a state with inspections and needed it to pass. It wasn't that bad though after using it for 7 years and it was already 10 years old before I owned it.

Theres a guy who always comes into my store complaning about a new crack or windshield he has to get for his JK. It seems it would be common for a verticle windshield.

6 Week old 2013... one crack already. It goes to the edge and Safelite says they can't fix it.

15 months, 21,000 miles and I've had two windshields replaced. Both got cracks from rocks on the hwy that grew rapidly with in days. :/

Got mine in June. September, I had something hit the windshield on the passenger side at the very bottom of the glass. I was traveling about 75 mph down I65 in Alabama (Roll Tide!) It started as about a 1/2" crack. Within 5 minutes, it went from the bottom of the windshield to the top. Very sickening watching it grow. I have not replaced yet. I tried to save some money after divorce and child support payments and had a deductible placed on my comprehensive insurance a few years back. That was a mistake.

Since it is on the passenger side, it doesn't bother me. Been spending money on modifications, will replace in a few weeks. It will cost about $250 for a non-Mopar glass. I worry about the sealing of the replacement windshield after reading some of the horror stories on here. Guess I need to get accustomed to replacing the windshield.

We replaced 2 in 5 years. I consider us to be lucky. When I had a Honda Element, I had to replace the windshield every year.

My 2012 is 13 months old. When I drive west close to sundown my windshield is so pitted it looks like I drove through a sand storm on I-10 in Arizona.

Glad I live east of the office so don't drive into the sun often but when I do I see the same thing

2 small cracks in mine, glad I'm not the only one. 2011 JKU, both from highway debris (rocks). Here in FL if you have full coverage, they replace it for free!

Had a chip in mine when I bought it. Didn't see it until after. A passenger noticed it. Small and fixable. Need to take care of it but I got to ask my insurance if they will pay for it. We have no deductible Glass here in SC. But I don't know if that only extends to cracks and replacements or will it cover the patching? Got to find out.

Not tailgating. Don't know where it came from. My mother was in the passenger seat. We don't have a clue where it came from. Nearest car was probably 100 yards ahead of us.

Is it true that the flat glass of the Wrangler windshield means replacements are a lot less money than a typical curved windshield?

Yes, but do realize the cheap Taiwan windshields will not take a hit like the factory or factory approved replacement. Any of the major windshield replacement companies usually can give you a choice of cheap or better quality.

Here we are 1 month later, 1000 miles and another crack. At this rate I'll be getting a new windshield on a monthly basis.

Lol. I hear ya. On our 3rd since may 2012. Us Arizonans get a nice high 1" rock quotient on the roads. Smack, smack, crack. When I saw you had 4 in a year, figured you had to be in Az.
