Dang looks like you got a killer deal compared to me. Is that normal for where you live? It seems like all the dealerships don't really budge on wranglers because it sells so well.

If you're going to call BS, have the fortitude to do so in plain English. You're calling at least one person a liar. Don't be passive aggressive about it, quote the post and use the word "liar".
Two months ago I bought a used 2015 JKU Sahara with 5,000 miles, fully-loaded (leather seats, navigation, automatic, painted hardtop, side airbags, Alpine sound, auto AC, etc.) for $35,000. The dealer got another 10 offers on it after I put down my deposit.
$33,450 out the door. 2016 Sport Unlimited, hardtop, 2" Mopar lift, unlimited/unlimited warranty. Barebones equipped with virtually no extras. My trade knocked $2000 off of the price.
I dropped in my own head unit and 35" wheels and tires.
MSRP on the 2017 Sahara I ordered was $37,750. My price will end up being $33,717. That price includes doc fees but not tax or license. I also received $500 off for being retired military.
No trade, no financing.
Here's a post from last March when I ordered my JKU Hard Rock from Koons in Virginia:
I just ordered a 2015 Tank JKUHR (23J) with a manual transmission and premium soft top. The only extra option I asked for was supplemental front seat air bags.
The advertised deal was 7% below invoice, but after their $599 processing fee, I think it works out to closer to 5-5.5% -- still significantly better than anything else I could find.
My 2014 Sport S, with Hard top, Bought 1st week of 2014, I paid $30,500.
So you paid paid $6,500 for leather seats and the soft-top.
Did you have color matching top and fenders, or other adds? IMO you paid way too much.
I would have loved another TJ, but even an LJ wouldn't have been enough room with a newborn. It's unbelievable how much crap I have to pack into my Jeep every time I want to run to the store with her. (Worth it, though.)
I was totally against the four-door Jeeps when they first came out, but I really like mine now. Maybe when my kid is old enough, I'll let her inherit the JKU, and I'll find a nice garage-kept LJ Rubicon somewhere. A man can dream...
damn, I guess I should have done the same. I'm in Texas and the dealer wouldnt budge off of the 1% under invoice. first car i've ever bought new and no idea how to negotiate it seems.
damn looks like i got ripped off on my purchase. to be honest in the socal area i visited 15 + dealerships and most of them had like 1-2 wranglers in stock w/ the options that I wanted so they didn't even want to budge on the ones that they had. even though i didn't get a killer deal i love this car and am glad i purchased it.
I wish i had known about the koons dealership before though
Looks like we got similar deals. Sticker = $39,575 and I paid $36,099 before TTL. The pricing is definitely region specific. Also, although folks are not counting their trade in in their pricing, if the dealer did not pay as much on the trade to you, he is going to be able to go a bit lower on the purchase price. Just food for thought. Overall, I thought I got a fair deal. The F&I dude threw in some extended warranty (not lifetime) but was nice to get a bit more than the 5/50 (we got in 2015).
paid: $34,896 including $75 doc fee, plus taxes, title and registration.
No trades.
Basically my deal was employee equivalent minus all the hold back.
