How much would you pay for a Jeep?

Sure it may be a Hemi and have some custom work done but I don't see $145,000 worth of Jeep Wrangler Unlimited here. Maybe some pro athlete with money to burn will buy it.

Holy crap. Here we go again. I am in the wrong business. There is not 50k worth of mods on this Jeep. Based on their pricing, they are trying to create a high end "luxury" quality Jeep. First thing I would do is fire my upholstery crew. For this kind of money that is piss poor work. Look at the leather seams mismatched and bunching in the back seat. The leather is also bunching up on the roll bar. In the market they are trying to compete in, you would not see leather work like this on a Mercedes.

I have always said the best way to get rich is to separate the wealthy from their money.

$25K for the stock Jeep
$20K for the Hemi conversion
$3K for the Wild Boar hard top
$3K for wheels and rubber
$3K for assorted drivetrain upgrades
$8K for assorted body components (hood, tailgate conversion, rocker rails, grille etc)
$2K for Corbeau seats
$2K for ICE
$5K for paint

That's $71K for parts at really rough numbers, then probably another $20K in labour time and assorted other bits leaving a $50K margin if they sell at that price. It's high, but I wouldn't consider a 35-40% margin to be an especially egregious ask on a custom product, even if it is a bit ugly.

I'm more offended by them trying to make a Wrangler look like one of my favourite ever sports cars than I am by them asking that much money for it.

This one's more offensive. It's running 37" tires on 3.21 gears with after market bumpers, winch and a 4" lift. The thing will barely move.

Thats that Starwood motors site. they sell some really cool looking jeeps. for the prices they ask though i think are a little overboard.... im sure with a quarter of that you can make a jeep look mean. i think those guys cater to the rich who want a "bling bling" type of jeep.

Friend of mine got his painted by them. It is a charcoal, rhino-lining paint. Damn near scratch-proof. Pretty bad ass.

They put a Rancho suspension on it. One of the cheaper ones out there. Good to know a high end customizer uses cheaper components. Of course the people who buy these things don't care. They are Beverly Hills crawlers.

I think that's the point. You're not going to take a rig like this anywhere that doesn't have perfectly laid pavement, so component considerations are different. Someone taking their Jeep off road wouldn't dream of spending the sort of money that has been spent on this rig's paint job, or of putting 22" street rims on it.

Anyway, I thought that the Rancho shocks were considered to be amongst the best?

I would pay 5 grand for that, then I'd accidentally launch it off the edge of a canyon and collect the insurance money.

I can't imagine anyone who has the money to purchase such a monstrosity would purchase it with intent to take it anywhere other than to the set of a music video or maybe a carpeted garage full of other hilarious expensively modded vehicles.

They're actually selling some really nice vehicles on there, some of the Wranglers have got awesome looking paint jobs and there's a really nice '78 Corvette.

My 2013 JKUR is being built right now, with a 6.4 Hemi, and leather, and still cost half what that one does.

I don't use e-bay much but 94.4% positive feedback seems low, yet they are a top rated seller....
