I did a search but couldn't find a thread on how to load songs into my JKs connect memory/brain or whatever... There are some files in there from the previous owner but not my style. Do I simply need to use a thumb drive or ? Tried to transfer from my iPhone but wouldn't work. any tips appreciated.

thanks!

You can load from a USB drive as noted above. The drive can be a thumb drive or an external HD. As long as it's got USB connectivity, you'll be able to Load files.

You can also load songs from a cd (and maybe a home made DVD).

I have yet to do either because downloading / hoarding / uploading digital audio files is so 2008. :)

I simply don't have the energy for hunting for files that are in the right format then storing them on a drive then loading them onto the jeep hd, only to need to do it all over again when I get bored with the content.

Not trying to talk you out of it, of course. :) :)

I thought there was a limit on how big the thumb drive/hard drive could be. I have had luck with up to a 32Gb drive.

I had an issue with trying to copy some pictures over if I only had .jpg's on the drive. As soon as I put one mp3 file in the root directory the radio saw everything. That bug may have been fixed by now, but just in case.

Also know that once you fill up the internal drive, you can also just plug the USB drive in and play from there. No need to copy everything over if you have spare USB drives.

My Sahara has two USB ports, on on the radio and one in the center console. I keep one USB drive plugged in the center console all the time. I find it much easier to simply update that USB drive when needed.
