How to Remove Driver Seat?

Has anyone removed their driver seat before? And if so, how? Was it easy or is it more complicated than it looks?

removing the seat was not complicated. Couple of bolts and your done. Driving afterward was far more complicated however... Dumbest mod I ever tried.

Agreed, it's super easy if you have an impact wrench.

What do you want to remove it for? Taking the seat out is much easier than taking the mounting frames out.

I'm looking to clean the jeep from all the water that has gotten in. I do not want to remove the mounting frame tho. How do I remove the seat only? Oh and it's a 2010 Sport.

Should I remove the bolts that mount the frame or is there a way to just remove the seat by itself?

Just add on, are there any special precautions you need to take if you have side impact airbags?

I think I agree with this statement. I tried removing the seats with a regular ratchet and wrench, and the bolts would not budge. I guess I'll have to wait to remove the seats until I get an impact wrench.

Don't forget to undo the wiring connector for the seat before you try to lift it out!
