I did it...my FIRST Jeep!

I did it. Thankfully, you guys put up with my questions and gave me a lot of useful info. I came home today with a new 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

Black Forest Green
2 Doors
Tow Group, Pwr Conv Grp, Auto, Hardtop tinted, and I guess that is about it.

I have to say that Rob Barnhart at Go Chrysler in Golden was great to deal with- low pressure, very proactive, knows a lot about Jeeps, and gave me a great deal. I did join Tread Lightly as well but still..he hooked me up. He found the green one in the Spings, and even picked me up from the house.

So I am off to Moab this weekend. After I get back, I'd like to join up on some of the Colorado Front Range Sat or Sun trips...looking forward to that.

So the Rubi is stock. The only two things I can think of adding are rock sliders that stick out a bit (have to research the best ones) and I would like to eventually add a winch with synthetic line so I can drag myself out of trouble when alone.

It is dark now but I will take some pictures tomorrow. I am quite excited...hope I can sleep tonight. I keep going to the garage to hang out.

Are the ACE sliders tough enough? I'm not sure if it is made from HREW or some other steel. For my 4Runner, they kept mentioning HREW and DOM. Regardless, I suppose I could get them welded on too, though that would cost me a bit more.

Congrats.
Man, I wish I was back home in CO. The wheeling there has to be better than it is in Maryland.

Man, did I flip-flop on colors. Then I finally went to the dealership and walked around in some freezing rain and it came to me- the green! I started with Dozer, then moved to Red, then Silver, then White, and then I saw the Black Forest yesterday and it stuck. It was really between the red, white, and green at the end.

Yes, go with ACE sliders. They sell both bolt-on as well as weld-on. Can't beat their prices and quality it a cut above. Have fun and enjoy!!

Congrats! Your lucky i had to order my JKUR (3/15) and the wait is making me spend money on parts even before she arrives.

Congrats and have fun in Moab!

Also, a winch is nice, and when you install it you'll front end will sag a bit so you'll want to get a lift to fix it, with a lift you'll want larger tires...
