I Don't See It!

I just installed the Delta 7" Round Quad Bar Xenon Headlamp Kit. I think they may be dimmer than the stock lights. I did not hook up the little optional bulbs that can be used as day time running lights/parking lights/extra turn signals. Do the optional bulbs make any difference?

I don't think aiming them will help any, the low beams look focused a little low and the high aimed a little high. Adjusting one will make the other worse.

The high beams might be a LITTLE brighter but the pattern doesn't look as wide. Am I missing something here? I am very disappointed with these headlights!

What kind of H4 bulbs are you using? A quality H4 bulb will make the difference. Something like an IPF Fatboy or some DDM HID's will really make them shine.

I am using the ones that came with the lights, 2 (ea) 60/55 Watt H4 Xenon Bulbs

Can I pick up better bulbs at a auto parts store?

Good bulbs usually need to come mail-order.

Hilldweller reported outstanding results with the Philips X-treme +80 bulbs. I'm ordering them next.

Delta is NOT known for making quality lighting products (their claim to fame was the headlight system for the Yugo).

The Phillips Xtreme Power bulb and a supplemental wiring harness would help. But not as much as returning the Deltas and getting some Cibies, Marchals, or Hellas.

Fatboy bulbs from IPF are for offroad only. They move the filament in a way that renders them illegal for on-road use.
And we all know by now that putting a rebased HID capsule into a housing that was designed for halogen is illegal, unsafe, and just plain obnoxious to other drivers.

I have heard mixed reviews on the delta lights but none have been great. HD has the right idea. I will be posting a review of the rallylights hella kit soon. It is on it's way. I will also be changing bulbs to the philips.

I have had pretty good results from the testing I have been doing with the solstice solo lights. I'm using them as trail only forward lighting. They are going to work great for their intended purpose.

Those and the Rigid Industries dualies are some of the best offroad lights ever invented. Small, light, durable, and a low power draw.
Smart choice.
