...and it takes you back to 1990!!!

First time having keyless entry in my Jeeps and you'd think for it being 2014 they would have a nicer key fob. This is the biggest piece of 1990 memorabilia I own. Man its ugly.

My 2012 Toyota 4Runner Limited had keyless everything/push button start, was Never so glad to be rid of it and get a "real" Full size key back.
Now I have my key with me, I know where it's at.
The "Fob" was forever being left in my pants, in the truck where ever. PIA
Maybe it was just me.

Same key on my 2000 and 2005 grand caravans. And almost the same key on my 2009 Honda odyssey.

When Fiat bought Chrysler, I figured the first thing they'd do is eliminate keys completely, and instead go with rectal probes.

They make a few different types of key holders that are available on ebay. I like the "switchblade" style, and am planning to see if I can modify one to work with the chip. Just haven't got a round To-It yet.

yes I would much rather Fiat invest in new key design then fug anything else up lol. Rumor has it that Fiat has a full staff of key designers working round the clock to come up with a new innovative key for 2017.

My wife has a new 2014 Accord and we just got back from a 6 day road trip and now every time I go to start/shut my jeep off I try reach for the red button lol.

That would be nice. but looks like i'll be stuck with my 2014 for years to come.

my previous 2014 trailhawk came with this. I left it in the jeep several times and when I press the lock button on the door, it wouldn't lock (thank goodness for proximity sensors)

and the JK. I had to call my insurance to get a tow truck last week because I left the keys in the jeep.

Seriously the key is what you have a problem with? So you are afraid of being embarrassed by the key in the bowl at a swingers party? Just stencil some Audi A hole rings on it to snazz it up a little.

If you wanted all the fancy bells and whistles you should have bought a grand cherokee instead.

My manual wrangler key is identical to the key I had on my 01 tj. Was kind of disappointed and reminiscent at the same time

Ditto! My VW had a cool switchblade key - Not. Worth. It.

The swingers party bit was pretty funny. Not goina lie
Heh heh heh - Indeed!!!

Well now that you mention it I did tell those little bastards to to get the F off my lawn shaking my fist old man style...... or else :rip: ever hear of this thing called sarcasm? I am just amusing myself, no harm intended.
Before or after you turned the hose on them?! :p

What I like is never having to pull the fob out of your pocket on my wife's Optima SX. You can even open the trunck when its locked by simply hitting the button on the trunck and having the fob in your pocket.

I think the only time she has to use the fob is the remote start before she walks out to her car...
