I hate my new Wrangler ...

... when the doors are on ... NOW!

I've had it 6 months and removed the doors for the first time this weekend.
Why did I wait so long? Mostly laziness, but also partly fear of doing something wrong and just getting used to the Jeep.

Anyway, now that the doors have been off 3 days, and due to 80% chance of rain tomorrow, I had to re-install them tonight, I don't like my Wrangler anymore! (with the doors on) lol It's so much more fun with the doors off.

I just had to share. I didn't take any great pictures unfortunately, but snapped a couple of bad ones for a buddy who has had his Jeep about the same amount of time and hasn't yet removed his doors.

Had mine off all this weekend as well, going back on tonight for muddying tomorrow. It's the real experience without the doors on.

I need a spider shade/top. It's too hot to go topless right now. The sun is brutal...
I can't wait for late Sept and early October for me to really get 'er naked'.

Nice! I'm waiting for the temps outside to be manageable again before I take mine back off. Plus we're (hopefully) getting into the wet season. We need the rain!

First time for me too. I would like to pass on a special thanks to all that warned about the little things. Like how to not put a dent in the cowl. How to not scratch up the soft top windows... It was great for the family and Dog. Everything came off, and went back on without a hitch (Or scratch/Dent). Here are pics:

I'll never ever take my doors off because I hate people looking at me. It will ruin my entire drive.

But, on the same topic sort of, I *hate* having the freedom panels installed now that I know how great it is to have them off. It's too hot here in AZ to run without them though, especially when going to work. Oh well. Probably can't remove them until September....

Get 'em off there~! It's like a whole different ride...

On my 2dr, I have it down to 30 minutes from fully dressed to totally nekkid by myself, even less with two people...

Very nice. They look awesome. My question though... what's the best of the door world? The only thing I like doors for now is rain protection, and they don't appear to do that.

Duck... I'm in Houston too, and even when it was 100 degrees with our 100% humidity, it wasn't too bad at all. I left the top on for that reason. The breeze going through the Jeep made it pleasant. Even my wife, who hates the heat/humidity, commented on how nice it was... so much so that after I put the doors back on expecting rain, she asked to have them removed again as soon as it stopped raining!

Just make sure you have shade from the sun, and it's an actual pleasant open air experience in Houston, Texas in mid summer... go figure.

Huh! Up here, come October, the hard top will be back on, and hopefully by the end of October I'll be up in a tree wearing warm camo patterned clothes.

Scott in Huston: Thanks. For the past few year, I knew that when it came time to get rid of my 2001 F150, I was seriously going to consider a Wrangler. I kept eyeballing the true blue, and other darker green options, but when it came time to order one, and I seen the commando green, my decision was made. And for the interior, we had test driven a 2012 last year, and I really liked the comfort of the leather better. But in 2013, when we test drove a new model with the improved cloth interior, I was OK with the black cloth instead of the leather. But when we got back to the dealership and parked next to a jeep with the Dark Saddle package,
my jaw just dropped, so it made my decision very easy when came time to order. I thought for sure that I was the only one that was going to like this color combo, but I didn't care cause it was my jeep, but I've had so many compliments about the colors, and from people that I never would have figured that would like it. Even my mother in law loves the colors.
