I have some questions regarding my Jeep, please help!

I have a 2009 Wrangler X that I picked up about a month ago. I am starting to prepare for the winter season since we just got season passes to Breckenridge. Here are my questions:
How does the Jeep handle in winter?
Does my Jeep have ABS?
Does my Jeep have some kind of stability control?
Traction Control?
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

It appears you have a 2 dr. Jeeps do great in deeper snow however snow packed streets, or light snow will have it wanting to trade ends in a heartbeat. Best thing you can do is get good tires for this condition if that is the type of driving you will see. I mentioned the 2dr part because the 4dr are not as prone to that being longer.

Your Jeep PROBABLY has ABS..but that is not a sure thing.......There is a place, (sorry IDK how to get you to it), that will tell you how to contact Chrysler and ask for the build sheet based on your VIN......it will list how it came from factory...also a few pics under hood will help people see if ABS unit is there, and possible to get a shot of the rear axle will let people get some idea if it has been changed in comparision to the build sheet.

Search for build sheet/ VIN info in the threads...good luck!!! and congrats on new Jeep!!

Thanks for the recommendation! I just contacted Jeep customer assistance and they are going to mail me a build sheet. I had no idea about these, greatly appreciated! How's your Jeep in the winter time?

Not sure what's being asked here . . . . More specific questions are easier.

How does it handle? Depends on your "winter" and your tires.

Mine was fantastic...but we had a very mild winter in Chicago this year....I also have brand new AT tires and factory limited slip.

Your Jeep does have ABS, stability control, and traction control...so that does help.

Get good tires and you will be OK.

1) Incredibly, provided your tires are in good shape. A vehicle is only as good as its tires.
2) Yes, federal law on all vehicles.
3) Yes
4) Yes, federally mandated since 2004 for all vehicles to have traction control.

Thank you...I wasn't aware of Fed law for 2 and 4...agree the tires are the second biggest influence in how a vehicle works in the snow...first is the driver....have seen MANY that think, "I have 4wd can go anywhere and do anything".....my "caution" in reference to build sheet and Pics.......you would know what it had from the factory with the build sheet....you can compare to the pics and make sure everything is still there....granted not likely but I don't "assume" anything when I buy a used vehicle.....but haven't bought used since '86.........when I am done they go to junk yard and I start over.
