I high-sided the Jeep today..

going over a soft berm. It high-sided right on the skid plate...so that did it's job.

I didn't have my tools with me so I had to wait for a benevolent soul to pull me off...only 30 minutes.

I guess the 225/75 16's are not quite tall enough for the angle of attack I was taking.

As in all Jeep things I do it was a learning experience. Sometimes you have to get stuck to know the limitations.

I suppose by thinking about it I could have taken the berm at a higher speed where the momentum would have helped me get over the top...that or take your tools with you always.

That right there.

It's not a real good idea to plow through something unless you're sure there are no rocks or other hard objects to hurt your Jeep. no matter how much armor you install you will still have vulnerable parts. It's better to get stuck than damaged.

That's sound advice Skeeter.

The exit angle was just too much for my Jeep the way it is presently equipped. I did go up the berm and look it over before I struck out to take it though.

I was lucky in that I was just off a paved road and knew people would be coming by. I was laughing a bit that I was stuck. I should have taken a pic. The Jeep did look good up on the berm though.

Yep,It's fun to get stuck
Got Amy's TJ stuck a couple months ago, Amy and the kids had a good time laughing at me while I heaved and shoved trying to get her free

I don't know what a M50 is. Mine is only a 600cc and with no low end that makes 2 up riding a b***h.

The best all around bike is a Honda VFR 800. It has tons of aftermarket equipment available to make your bike yours including risers and backrests.

A friend of mine said that the fastest he has ever been on a track was on a VFR...2 up.

Insurance companies get nervouse when a bike is over 1000cc unless it's a cruiser so the VFR is well within a good price range both for insuarnce and OTD.

My next bike is going to be a VFR if you couldn't already tell. I am not loyal to any one brand...cept Chrysler...maybe.

Me too. I was vehicleless for 18 months. Rode everyday regardless of weather. Rain, snow, t-storms and wind..you name it.
