I might be...

Well, I might be alot of things. But one thing I might be soon, If everything works out how I want it to...proud owner of a 2010 Rubicon There bringing back the rescue green color and I want it bad!

Im already looking for lifts and digging up my old JP mags looking for good articles on the JK's, lol. I told my girl when I buy my brand new jeep Im gonna put new tires, and do some suspension work and stuff. She said "you know this is sick and demented?"...I said "yea..so". Lol, she'll learn.

So, is there any advice, or things I should know about the JKs?? Anything to avoid or look out for??

you have to start whining about rattles, MPG's, and if your warranty will be voided by adding bumper stickers and such.

You can also find several threads that you can whine about the lack of power too.

My 07 JK has less rattles and much better mpg than my 06 TJ. I am getting over 19 mpg. My TJ got somewhere around 14 mpg.

I already have a TJ, I know about the "wave". Nobody waves around here anyway...In the past 3 years of owning my TJ I think maybe 5 people have waved, lol. If you wave most likely you'll get a dirty look meaning..."wtf is this guy waving at, do i know him????"

This is how NYers wave....

Gotta love "Rescue Green". When I got my '07 X 2dr I used to get Good and bad comments about the color but I love it!
I have 67,000 miles on mine and don't have rattles or such! Been happy with mine for 3 years so far. Good luck and hope you get it!

i've got a 2 door 07. things to watch for are...

-6 speeds popping out of gear
-automatics running hot
-torque chatter in automatics
-front driveshafts busting in automatics with mild lifts if not properly addressed with tranny skid plate/DS boot mods
-steering clunk
-being treated like you drive a Liberty...and getting jagged by forum members that want pink jeeps

that's all i can think of at the moment.

btw, how did your transmission turn out? i havent seen any posts.

I get a wave 90% of the time,, and my 2010 2 dr is rattle free and getting 19mpg. So my advice is get used to the fact that you are gonna spend alot of time thinking about your new JK :-)

Waving at someone in New York means:

Hey, scumbag, get over here so I can kick your teeth in ya mutt ya.

Dude, your pillar is gonna rattle. When you post up on how to fix that, I'm gonna pounce!

liberty owners whine less . plus, my "want to be pink" jeep rattles more, drives rougher, and gets worse gas mileage than any jk ever could, and i couldn't be happier about that

if i wanted something soft and comfy to sit in, i would have invested in a lazyboy .

^^^^see what i mean lol!

this minor JK problem is fixed however by telling yourself "they are just jealous" over and over again.
