Is $1700 a good or average car dealership price deduction on a wrangler? What deduction did your dealership give you when you bought your JK? I am not interested in Chryslers incentives, just what dealer was, "able to do." I would like to hear other peoples thoughts and opinions on this.

No idea, depends on what trim and options you want.

Go to edmunds.com and build the jeep you want. It'll give you the invoice price. If you're looking at a 2014 on a dealer lot you should get a few percent below MSRP. Check the thread for what people are paying to build/order 2015s.

Thanks for the replies, here is some more background info. Chryslers discount or incentive is 3500. The dealership we are dealing with is only offering a $1700 discount. Now here's the tricky part. The dealership played it off as if the Chrysler discount was theirs also. So they were saying to us that they themselves would knock down the price by $5200. We said we would think about it and it was not until further research that we found out that Chrysler was the one, not the dealership, that was giving us the biggest knock down on price. Chryslers incentive is valid at any dealership too so it really comes down to what the actual sales manager will knock off and $1700 doesn't seem to great. Hopefully that makes a bit of sense and sorry this is so long winded.

you should be able to get 10% off MSRP or 3% under invoice. I see you are in Canada so not sure how it is up there. Davesmith.com will give you an idea what you can save. You will need to call but it is painless.

Wait until around October and you will find better deals. I got mine for almost $6K under MSRP for a '13 last October. Pickings are slim so you may have to drive a few hours to get what you want. I drove 4 hours one way to get mine.

Assuming you're looking for something on the lot rather than a factory order, it all depends on:

Dealership's volume - How fast they move them
How long the one you want has been sitting there; the longer the better in terms of them being willing to discount.

Due to the demand on Wranglers, a lot of dealers won't deal much on them, claiming there isn't much of a mark-up.

Good luck.

Can you tell me more about this factory ordering thing? I don't know much about it but I am considering all options.

Hey, another member in Ottawa! Nice. :thumb:
I bought mine used from a dealership with a trade in so I don't have any input. Just wanted to acknowledge the Ottawa member.
