I think I got it! Tires

I have been here lurking and reading. As you can see from the number of posts, I am new to Jeep. The more I read the more I think that the best, most efficient yet functional Tire size for the Jeep seems to be the 33 Duratracs. It just seems to get complicated quick with the lifts. I think when I get ready I am going to go with 33s and some sort of Flat Fenders for extra clearance and maybe some high end shocks if that helps. A couple of questions.
Do you need the added clearance of cut or flat fenders with 33s? I don't want to rub at all.
If you don't want to cut your fenders, what fenders do you guys run?
Do shocks add lift ? What shocks do you guys like?

I'm running 285/70R/17 on stock rims with a teraflex BB spacer lift and 1.5" spidertrax spacers. The jeep rides so much smoother and doesn't kill my MPG. tires look aggressive too. Best set up it found for a DD.

I've got what ^ has, 33x12.5x15 duratracs on level 8 trackers, with the rk 1.5 springs, stock fenders, only with the rancho 7000s instead of the 9ks and I wheel it pretty regularly. It's a good set up.

This set up has taken us faithfully and safely over many "locker rated trails", serves very well as a nurses daily driver. Handles better than stock on the highway and tows trailers extremely well. (3000 lbs or less).
