I treated myself this week.

By ordering new wheels and other goodies. After almost a year of debating, researching, pricing, reading 100's of forums, pictures, deciding then changing my mind, then deciding and talking myself out of it, then back into... - I finally decided on wheels.
  • XD Series Addicts, 17x9
  • Duratracs 285/70-17
And to go along with them:
  • Lug Kit
  • Teraflex HD Hinge Carrier
  • AEV ProCal
  • New Bumpstops
Now the waiting game begins.... Next week is going to be fun. Ill take a couple days off work next week and spend quality quality time with Dozer....

I feel ya on that one!! I am in the same boat. I decided on one thing, then read another post and change my mind etc.

Where did you get the wheels from?

fuel mavericks w/ toyo at2.

but whats more frustrating is choosing my lift kit. i'm stuck with rancho 2 inch lift w/ 9000xl shocks/ teraflex leveling/ or wait till next year. but i'm so anxious.

-wife found out i had 5k saved (wheels/tires/metalcloak lift) so i kinda treated her out which means she spent some of the money lol.

I debated with myself about a thousand times! I convinced myself on one set, then changed, then went back, then a totally different direction and eventually landed on these. In short I wanted black, ~ 4.5" backspacing, 17" and Duratracs. I had to really think about what I am doing now and what I may be doing a year from now. Not easy.

I knew I did not want 35" as I don't want to re-gear, do a mandatory lift, new fender flairs, etc - at least not yet. I wanted 33". But I also wanted the option to drop on 35" a few years down the road and have wheels that could be used.

Right now my offroading - or current lack thereof - really did not warrant the need for anything bigger. I wanted a wider stance, more aggressive tire and black all around to complete the black out/Dozer look.

Discount Tire Direct is the place to go for wheel packages. Free mounting, free balancing and free delivery to your house saves a ton. Plus a great price and a few WF discounts on top of that. DTD is amazing.

Q-Tec goodies came in. Today I finished my motion sensor project and all is well. Tomorrow should be the Teraflex hinge install if ther weather is good. Got the paint and locktite ready to go for the install. I am painting the unpainted metal under the factory hinge. Then I will be ready for wheels on Monday.

Sweet setup with the XDs. Love the Fuel wheels too. I made some big changes as well (or will be on Tuesday). Decided to go with Method wheels and 35 inch MTRs.

Installed the TF Hinge carrier today. Looks great. Love the sturdiness. Wheels still show tomorrow for delivery from UPS. Got the jack ready to go. Can't wait for the wheels to come.

Package tracking is simultaneously the most gratifying and absorbing as well as frustrating and annoying thing in the world.

Oh I will. I got 3 on last night before we needed to head out for dinner - spare and the rears. After a few beers I was not going to finish the fronts last night.

I will say this. They are beautiful. They sit perfect on the wheel well and stick out exactly as I hoped. I actually am skipping class tonight to finish the install and the ProCal programming so I can drive it tomorrow. I took the DD today to work...

A preview:

Did they tell you when they would ship? I was told when I ordered mine a few weeks ago that the Duratracs in that size were backordered until next week!

They told me 3 to 5 days. Should (hopefully) be here by Saturday. There were like 12 in Texas. I only need 4. Not doing spare because I'm cheap. Might just remove the spare altogether.
