For those watching here, I have stated that I would post info on the availability of the RBZ from my friend in the radio shop. I spoke to him yesterday, and he still does not have any. I will keep up with him, and post when I get the good news.

I'm buying a 430RBZ for my 12 Sahara with uconnect today.
It's part number P05064879AH, with 0951 date. I think it's built on the 95th day of 2011 but I am concerned with the AH at the end. I see people have used the AG ones with no issue. Is the AH a updated version from AG etc. I just want to make sure I'm good before I pick it up. I'm hoping it will light up green and flash the jeep logo with the latest software. I think it's a good find for what I'm paying.

I think you should be fine. Give it go and let us know how it works out.

Hello all, first post here. I'm a Ram owner and you Jeep guys know your stuff. I've read all 10 pages and learned so much. Here is something that wasn't talked about. If I was to buy a brand new, still in box, 2012 RBZ, with anti theft from a person who bought it for their vehicle and never installed it. If I was going to put it into my 2012 Ram would their be a 4 digit security code needed. He told me since being brand new and never installed that I don't need a code. What do you guys think?

I think it would need to code, but I can't really say for sure.

I forgot to mention album art. I saw on some rbz radios with this in the description. Is this when a cd is playing it shows the picture of the album cover? Is this something the newer rbz's have and if it is what date was it started?

I think if it's brand new in the box you will not need the code. My understanding is that it pairs itself the first time on poweruo, and then you need the code after that.

Mine was brand new in box from Mitsubishi and didn't need code

No album art on mine, and it's the latest firmware. It can display jpegs, however - but it doesn't pull up album covers - like you described

I installed the part number listed above and it works flawless. Changed over to jeep sign, has no Bluetooth issues and I was able to transfer the Sirius trial for 20 bucks. I love this head unit, it's like I have a new jeep again. It also shows album art from USB or cd.

I have the 130 with sirius and phone and I'd like to get the 430. What do I need to do and where can I get one?

I did exactly what you posted about, added a mygig lock pick, hands free microphone, and front and rear cameras. Its a great setup. I can tell you how to do it and even what company can sell it all to you BUT having done all that I would not do it that way again. Buy a new aftermarket higher end head unit and add whatever gadgets you want. You will get better sound and if you buy the aftermarket harnesses its all still plug and play.

Ok, so I think I am getting this down....lol The only thing I am not getting is the 509 builds better to get than the 506? and why? and what color are the backlight led's in the 2013 wranglers? Do the new Wranglers that come with a 430N light up blue? I found a Jeep Dodge Chrysler OEM MyGig Radio DVD RBZ REN HIGH SPEED P05091201AD... 4 digit PIN will be included. I assume the splash screen will update to Jeep. and what exactly is the "low speed" high speed" all about? I get my 2013 sahara on Wednesday.... it has a 130, but does have blu tooth, Sat radio, AND connectivity.

Thanks for any help

I've been going back and forth trying to decide which way I wanted to go. Stock units, or aftermarkets.

Why would you not go the way of the stock unit if you had to do it again?

I don't understand the upgrade to a 430 over a aftermarket for the same or less money. I got a JVC detatchable face touch screen head unit and as long as you use the chrysler canbus you should retain your factory buttons I think. ( I don't have them so don't know for sure) whole setup cost me 400$ for the stereo and the adaptor for the can bus.

I gained more power per speaker which was my main reason for upgrading to aftermarket so I can hear with the top off on the highway and still rock out. I also wanted it detatchable for the idiot thieves out there.

I'm not trying to bash the 430 just wondering if I'm missing something as to why people go this route?

The bang for the buck. The need for the lock pick. The User interface. The low wattage. Basically a top of the line stock unit is still a stock unit and the guys selling them are selling them for a reason. It's not that its bad its just that I put a high end aftermarket head unit into my wife's Yukon for 2/3 what I paid for the stock unit for my jeep her has nearly double the output wattage and more features native to the unit. I'm not getting rid of mine but I'd do it different now

Yup that was my mistake. Put in a 430 for the stock look. Not sure why I dropped more coin than you for same fx that says jeep when I turn
It on

Mine is actually hacked now and it can display whatever I want but I set it to turn on the front camera so I can watch out for my dog. He's an 18 month old blue tick that thinks my jeep is his litter mate. I'm constantly catching him chewing on the tires or sleeping underneath the back. He's even tree'd a raccoon onto my roof.

Here is why.
A 430 rbz is a very easy drop in replacement...with no adapters or harnesses or brackets. It is 100% plug and play with no loss of any control for any of the steering wheel buttons. I paid $260 for my rbz on ebay, it was worth it. If you are going to pull the entire system, I would go aftermarket. But if you just want a hard drive, an extra USB port, and an LCD screen, and rbz makes a lot of sense.

ok, so I have read enough on here to feel confident in grabbing an RBZ 506 build with green LEDS! Found one out of a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan with Sirius (High speed 430 RBZ P05064678AH Date Code 2250 Supplier 42774) and will have it by wednesday or so! I really want NAV, but don't want the price tag or deal with the blue leds. Will post pics, and my results as well! Should be no issues as I have the blu tooth U-connect, AND connectivity package already with the 130. Fingers crossed!

I Love this forum!

Hey Ron, Where did you get it and how much? Does this replace the 130? Is it high speed or low speed? Another person said you can't interchange them cuz it would mess up the computer. Is that true?

Is there anywhere to get the lockpick cheaper ? I cant justify spending 100 plus bucks more than what I paid for the RBZ.

Shop eBay, I got my Lockpick for $200, then picked up one of the cheap backup cams for $25.
