Talking Ideas/suggestions...Buying 2011 Rubicon

Hello! I am about to join the Jeep World for the first time. I have gotten pricing from two dealers. The pricing on the Rubicon is pretty much the same...the difference lies in things such as 2" lift, bumper-to-bumper warranty, etc.

Any suggestions in negotiating the best price possible?

Read Edmunds.com. A lot. Lots of good info there on both negotiation and the actual pricing you're likely to be able to get.

Otherwise, do the lift etc. after market. If something was installed at the factory, fine; if it was installed (or wants to be installed) by the dealer, I'd generally recommend saying no. Dealers are rarely, rarely going to be the best price on anything like that. The folks on this forum will be able to point you in the right direction on after market mods.

Good luck!

And as has been said so many times on this forum check out the TreadLightly discount. Do a forum search, lots of information on it.

One thing with the tread lightly deal though is that it does take a little time to get your packet, so join and then wait a week or so and then you can buy your jk.

I also thing you need to look at edmunds.com to see invoice and what others are paying in your area. You will be surprised to find out that it is usually below invoice. I was able to get $500 below invoice. Unfortunately I was in a hurry and couldn't wait for the tread lightly deal and the $500 below was a better deal anyway.

Others have already posted info about the Chrysler Affiliates program available through Tread Lightly. That will give you 1% off of the invoice as long as your dealer participates in the program...not all of them do.

Here's a site with good info and pricing on Chrysler extended warranty programs. Extended Auto Warranty for your Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep Vehicle.* Fast, Free online quotes! You can purchase directly from them, or show the pricing to your dealer and they may match it....mine did.

agreed, stock factory 2011 rubi will keep you happy for many months, give you a chance to learn the vehicle, and let you pick out the mods you want after some experience.

As everyone said, TL discount, and talk to some Jeep club guys in your local area (google..).
