As the title states if i go no bigger then 33" tires would a rubi with 3.73 be just as capable off road as a rubi with 33" tires and 4.10?

Capable is normally determined by the person behind the wheel.

Obviously the crawl ratio will still be lower with the 4.10 gears.

Manual = 3.73 gears = 68.2
4.10 gears = 74.9

Auto = 3.73 gears = 54.9
4.10 gears = 60.3

How about we back up. Why are you asking this question? Did you get 3.73s and not realize it, or are you debating between 4.10s and 3.73s?

I've never heard of anybody wishing they order numerically lower gears, though I've heard of plenty of folks wishing they had ordered deeper gears.

Get the 4.10s and be done with it--there's a reason it's a desirable option.
