your Jeep became stuck or disabled, what 5-10 things would you like to have in a recovery bag?
Haha. Nice one!nick50471 said:Beer is in the cooler not the recovery bag.
What is up with you damn mormons and being in the boyscouts, i had like 3 buddies in high school that were mormon and they were all eagle scouts by our senior year.popstop785 said:What I have:
1 Gallon of water.
Traver toothbrush and paste
roll of TP
Roll of paper towels.
Box of granola bars or similar.
JUmper cables.
Camera.
AC outlet adapter for electronics.
A bi monthly updated Tom Tom (Cell phones with GPS tend to suck when you have no signal)
Ratchet and spare tools.
Zip ties.
Gallon plastic zip lock bags.
My PS90 with a full clip and 200 spare rounds (pending on the state I'm in)
Heavy duty tow rope
Towel
Hand held radio set up to 5 miles
Compass
My Eagle Scout skills.
My Gerber 5 inch military blade with line cutter.
pocket knife
box of Diamond Strike anywhere matches
Zippo
My Boy Scout manual from when I was younger (good survival notes in it)
Small fleece blanket
my standard car Jack
I keep my full spare tire always filled with enough air before any trips.
5 bright red flares.
1 small little hand mirror
on little magnifier glass.
Jeep Manual
light rain poncho
first aid kit.
Hiking shoes
Dirt bike gloves
Little tire plug repair kit
Spray on sunscreen
deodorant
Notebook, pen and pencil
My scriptures (I'm LDS so I take them with me everywhere...)
Oh and I try to never let my Jeep go below a 1/2 or 1/4 tank of gas at all times.
Some spare cash and change within the Jeep hidden in crazy spots.
1 head lamp LED flashlight
1 Mag light and 1 10 bulb LED flashlight
A red laser light on my Jeep key chain
And that is all I can think of on the top of my head at the moment. That little storage space in the back of my JKU is PERFECT for most of this stuff. I earned the rank of Eagle Scout by the time I was 14 years old... It's made the biggest impact on my life. And I know I am missing some things for survival... but I feel I have enough top handle myself for a little while. I do not keep drugs or alkie. I stopped drinking 22 months ago... yeah, go me!
To me my Jeep is Freedom and a survival vehicle.... maybe I am just odd and a little over prepared or slightly unprepared.
