?

the one thing i hate about TPMSs is the extra cost of putting on new wheels / tires. the spare has a tpsm installed as well, i would assume. yes?

If you are buying a set of 5 tires/wheels, you might be able to get the tire shop to move the TPMSs to the new set for free. 5 new tires/wheels aren't cheap and the tire shop may do it to get your business.

It worked for me. I bought 5 new 35x12.5R17 BFG KM2 tires and wheels from Discount Tire. They moved my TPMSs from the stock wheels to the new ones and remounted the stock tires back on the stock wheels after the TPMSs were removed.

Hi Bert,

You can can use the procal to calibrate your jeep's computer to any threshold you desire. You're alarm will not come on if you set the level to zero. It essentially turns it off.

I bought the charcoal CoD wheels and the dealer swapped them onto the stock tires and reused the existing TPMS without issue or problem. If DT won't do it then I would go elsewhere because that is a serious FAIL on their part.

My local Discount Tire moved all five sensors from my stock wheels to the Mickey Thompson's I bought from them. They did let me know that they were having a lot of difficulty removing one of the sensors due to corroded threads and they thought it might be destroyed in the process. I finally let go and all five were successfully installed. I too manage to get a very good price from them but I am never a jerk to them.
