I'm doomed...

Took my jeep to get the oil changed today and parked beside another 2 door in the dealer's lot on 35s.

Can't sleep now.

Bet you have dreams of that 2-door crushing your rig like Bigfoot flattening a Prius.

But then you'll wake up, and realize his tires were probably only 34's.

I'm calling on fellow board members to intervene (Wolf, kjeeper?).

My 33s have been listed for sale.

Haha...are you serious? How many sets of tires have you been through in the last year? Be honest.

Maybe I should say 2 years.

Awesome Jude. Can't wait to see what it looks like next. Going with Duratracs again? Something different?

One good thing, you've got the lift to run 35's. But aren't you on 15" rims? So DuraTracs would be out.

Unless you buy new rims.

If not, they should throw some in on this next wheel purchase. Make him a Junior Honorary VP or something.

How about this idea: take the money you would invest in new tires and possibly rims and give it to us. We will divide it up and use it for other mods. Plus it saves you from the temptation.

A win win situation for all!

The KM2s in 35x15..... You need them to help that lift out.

I feel ya. Sold my nearly new 33" Maxxis Bighorns for 35" Kelly Safari TSR's nearly a year ago now and glad I did.

They may have measured out to 34" (or smaller if they were BFG KM2) but still big enough for ESP to notice.

So does anyone know if the 35x12.5R15 KM2s would mount smaller than say the BFG ATs in this size? I'm deciding between these two and leaning towards the ATs because making the jump to 35s is gonna hurt and the ATs are 35lbs lighter than the KM2s. Also, can anyone chime in on whether the stock spare carrier could support a 54lb tire ok without additional support?

I don't know about the BFG KO size but KM2 are notoriously smaller than advertised. Will they be bigger than your 33's? Yes as your 33's probably aren't exactly 33" mounted either but if you parked next to someone with say 35" Goodyear MTRs, then the KM will look smaller. I am not fond of the KO either, I hear it isn't good in snow and just isn't aggressive looking enough for my taste.

Yep but Moab isn't going any where. It will still be there when I go to 37s next year.

As far as looks go, KM2s hands down. They do tend to run small though. Never liked the look of the KO and I even had a set on a 4x4 Blazer years ago. You could also look into the Falken Wild Peaks or Rocky Mountains.

I'm not overly concerned with the look as much as the function of the tire. I've had MTs before and didn't like them on my DD. ATs have always worked very well for me with the offroading and commuting I do.
