I want to say Graco Snugride Classic but I'll have to double check. basically there is a base that gets attached to the seat through two hooks and the actual seat just snaps in... this is my favorite of all the seats because you don't need to wake the kid when you take them out. That same seat then snaps into the stroller when you get where you are going..
Again, I'm not sure about the 2door back seat but that's my experience with the 4 door... As if you weren't looking at enough expenses.. if you could swing the "upgrade" to the unlimited, i would go for it! These kids come with a lot of gear..
Haha. Sounds like sound advice. And serious congrats to the op. Like they say to the military, but it applies to do much more than that in America: Thanks for your service! What you do/did is just as important to this country as someone willing to hump sabot rounds in a tank.

I have a Chicco infant seat for my son and a britax convertible for my 3 year old daughter. both work well. Just remember as long as your only having one baby to put the seat in the middle of the back seat.

Congrats! I'm not sure what infant seat will fit, but I have four year old twins. Two graco Nautilus fit just fine. I drive the kids to daycare three days a week. I have no problem getting them in and out of the back. Just flip the passenger seat forward and climb in, standing behind the passenger seat. No need for a four door. Not to mention, I can get the kids in and out a smidge faster than my wife's minivan since I don't have to buckle the kids in on both sides of the vehicle. I just climb into the back with them, buckle, and done.
Congrats!! And good luck to you and your new family. I had a sick 2004 Rubi with half doors and a 3" lift when my first kid came along, and I ended up trading it in after only 2 years for an Outback. Of course, a year later, Jeep introduces the 4-door unlimited. Chapped my ass!!! Anyway, I've got a JKU now, and a third child on the way any day. Even the JKU will be a tight fit now!!!! Glad I got Dozer after all, because its more of a school bus than rock crawler these days. Advice: move up to the JKU if you can.
