How about this......35's on a 4"
To me it has too much room, so we will be installing 37's.
However more than a half dozen folks in person stated that they like it just like that.

You can build your rig any way you desire but the info provided in this thread shows what happens when you go with certain combos. The average is 2.5 with 35s and stock flares doesn't look really proportional and doesn't function fully for wheeling. Just to clarify, if I have a 2.5 lift with stock flares, my 35's will rub and won't look right? But if I have a 3" lift with stock flares, my tires won't rub and will look boss?

Nobody disagrees that 35s have better clearance than 33s, and in the right configuration they offer a lot more off road capability. But check out the title of the thread- the OP just wanted to know if anyone else prefers the look (not functionality) of 33s on a 2.5" lift.

35's on a 2.5" will not rub when flexed out if you have proper bumpstops. Maybe very little if you are turning lock to lock while flexing, but it all depends really.

To some a low center of gravity looks awesome, to others it does not.

IMO the JKU was made for 35's It's the parfect tire for it imo if your going just for looks.

I've got 3.5" springs and 35's now but going to flats and 37's soon.

I have the Rancho 2" lift and I just got 33s on 16s put on. I had planned to go with 35s, but I am glad I didn't. I think the size fits perfectly!

Me too. I bought my jeep with a 2.5 inch lift and stock size tires (Someone pulled their mods before selling it, basically). Put 33s on it. Now it needs a regear, and the whole reason i put 33s on was because i thought it wouldn't need any mods besides wheels. Now i have to regear, and if i regear i might as well have 35s.

I'm thinking about puting 4.88s on so i can put 35s on later and still have enough gear. I'm not totally decided on that yet though.

And then i'd probably get another couple inches of lift.

Theres a few guys around here with 33s on TJs with no lift...or it doesnt look like theres a lift with the way it fills the wheel wells, anyway..dont know much about TJs. But i think it looks bad ass. And the only wheeling anyone does around here is tearing up other peoples lawns and making a bad name for everyone with a 4x4 anyway.....

most of the JKs around here are stock though...

I enjoy the lift and like the look, but it made my 33's look super tiny. Will probably go to 35's when I wear our the Duratracs. If I rub then, I have no problem cutting the flares or putting on flats.

Agree 100%!

I have 33s and an AEV 2.5" lift. To me it looks great like this. I want flat fenders, but then the tires *will* look too small and roller-skate-like. I will get flatties after I get 35s in a few years. No hurry. My JK makes me quite happy as it is right now...

I am going with the Rock Krawler 2.5" x-factor kit, 16" cragar soft 8's or blackrock wheels, and 35" goodyear duratracs (which run small).

I also have ACE flat fenders right now and I think this will look awesome and function well on my JKU.

Just waiting for the government to send me my backpay!
