I have a '13 wrangler sport and I was wondering if the BF Goodrich All terrains 255/75/r17 would fit without having to do anything to it.

I ordered the 285/70/17 duratracs.

I was about to pull the trigger on the mamba m13s but the TireRack agent scared me. He said stock offset was +30 and the 4.5" backspacing Mamba m13 is -12mm.

He said that offset matters more than backspacing and says I'll run into fit issues. Can anyone comment on this?

The mamba m13's have "4.5" backspacing on their site but dont' mention anything with offsets. Tirerack is selling me above with the 4.5" backspacing model. Any help?

Well from further research it seems that offsets and backspacing is the same thing so I think tirerack is probably just conservative...

Remember earlier when I said some tire store guys are stupid....

Offset and Backspace are different measurements of the exact same thing. Offset is measured from the dead center of the rim, backspace is measured (not surprisingly) from the back of the rim.

If you really like those rims, go buy them. Or go with something else... I love my Procomps, but my rims are 16inch so they won't work with the tires you already ordered.
