....I'm such a friggin idiot!!!

I just took the doors off for the first time the other day. Well, I posted that it was a pain in the a** to get the back doors off to access the disconnect switch and whatnot...................so today I put them back on cause there's raining coming and I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS AN ACCESS PANEL!!!! I partially pulled off the the entire assembly to get to the switch!!!!

all part of the journey man.. i learn something new to keep with me forever every time i make a mistake. like when i slid my hardtop backwards 6" to install my SIRIUS antenna on the roll bar on my previous Jeep. Then i opened my tailgate and the hardtop scratched the tailgate paint. You learn the hard way, but you dont make that mistake again.

Nice. I spent all day yesterday trying to figure out how to put the stinking soft top on. I even printed off directions (which were of no help by the way) and ended up watching the handy little DVD over and over. Now, they never tell you in the DVD how to put the soft top on for the first time (like where to place all of the plastic doo-hickey runner stuff) so I just kept pausing the video until I figured it out. A 20 minute project which took a couple of hours. And I still don't have a good place to store the hard top.

Don't beat yourself over the head over it. I took 8 hours putting my top on for the first time assembling it because it came all in pieces in a box. Mine wasn't a dual top option.

I just got done with one of the engimeering classes and it confused the hell out of me with so many different scales.. Coming from the International system of weights and measures really doesn't help with the scales in U.S., but hey a measurement is a measurement..

That's because we usually don't need them. Besides the original text was written in some other language and lost half its meaning when it was translated to english.

I read the directions completely before starting, find all the parts, and then use the directions step by step. I don't like to put things together only to have to take them apart again because the next step always seems to say, "except for..." or "unless you have..." I've learned (mostly the hard way) that it takes less time to follow the directions carefully and do it once.

Yea... I've seen that "ruler"

It says THIS |_____| is 8 inches.

Problem with following instructions or directions, is that sometimes, it goes way to easy!!
Then I have too much time left with nothing to do and find myself looking for more mods!
