Haven't seen this posted, apologies if it has. This is an awesome purpose built Jeep. This guy spent a butt load of dough on it, although I can't help but to think he went overboard.

As a first responder myself, if he uses it for its indended purpose it's not overbuilt. Take it from someone that's been dead center in a disaster zone.

I just want to know how any full time first responder could afford that. None of the paramedics I know are making that kinda money. Should have built a litter holder in the back over that box, he could have slept there when he's living in this thing. And I did hear how there is an auxillary fuel tank but it would have to be huge because it's obviously built for a Katrina type disaster, and I'm betting fuel gets hard to come by and this thing must get like 8 MPG. I'll go with the KISS principle and hike in, who drives over fallen house rubble anyways, children could be under there. hike in, airlift out.

Personally, I think this thing is pretty legit. It seems like a lot of thought, quality, and attention detail was put into the build. There are some frivolous additions, but much of it would be pretty useful given it's intended use.

On a side note, I believe the owner was stated to have been a volunteer responder. I would drive it or hell I'd ride shotgun.

Agreed. No such thing as overbuild. To each there own. Crawl malls or rocks build her how you want.

I just did the Rubicon trail with a guy in a bone stock Sahara TJ on 32s with chrome wheels. Does that mean the guy on 35s and locked is overbuilt? Nope. Build it for what you want to do with it and how you want it to look.

I was a firefighter a long time ago. We would get these guys coming in that were more interested in looking the part than being the part. We used to say that they were squirrelly. They would buy all this fancy equipment that they had no idea how to use and then put red lights on their vehicles. They usually lasted a couple of months before the real firemen chased them out. I'm not saying this guy is squirrelly but really. While I like the build I can't imagine that he'll ever need all that. Municipalities usually cover the heavy equipment.

Its good for the economy...BUILD AWAY if you so please!

I like the rig, not what I would need, but cool to see the setup none the less.
