Imprivised under seat security

So I had been thinking on ways to have security with the top off. With that I was looking for a way to store a basic of road survival kit.

I decided I would stop by the military surplus store and found that a 50 caliber ammo can fits perfectly under the back seat. Slides right in and you are unable to open the lid without pulling it out. So to solve that I bought a bicycle cable with a lock and locked it to the pillar under the seat.

Security for under $20!!!

I think I'll get one more for the passenger side and it will be set. Thinking of rigging it onto a slide. Thinking of using the slides like on drawers and mount those to the pillars then it can slide in and out easy

A few years ago I remember reading that someone put one under the middle portion of the back seat. He said it had the bonus benefit of adding support to that part of the seat. I sat back there once and he was right, it needs it.

You are right. It will fit there. Didn't realize it arched up and it slides right in. Good call. So 3 in the back then and all the storage I need
