In the market for a new Wrangler

Any advise? I'm new to Jeeps. What options should I get? Which not to get? It will be mostly a daily driver, but some winter travel on unpaved roads. Any help is appreciated.

I was new to Jeep as well. During my research, I found that you could accessorize it just about any way you wanted. I bought the base model without the bells and whistles. I want to customize it myself. I thought why get any options if I was going to personalize it. Now, if you want the Rubicon with the different axel/wheel and other mechanical options, I'm sure someone will chime in.

It's all about your personal preferences. My requirements were manual trans, no power locks or windows, (doors are always off) soft top only, Sirrius Radio, (gotta listen to Howard) 32" tires, (29's look dumb), LSD, and 3.73 gears. Had one on the lot with a dealer added hard top. I had them take off the hard top and the deal was done.

I'm thinking the base model too.

Are 32" tires an option? Are they the 17"s? I would be interested in something like yours. The MSRP is about 24K. What could I expect to get that for?

long island...whats good, just picked up my sahara 4 door from westbury jeep about a month or so ago, couldnt have been any nicer there. If you happen to find a place to go off roading on "the island" let me know, i found a couple little places to mess around but they seem to be non existent other than the one spot i found haha, so i mainly go upstate around the lake george area. I hate planning road trips based on when there will be the least amount of traffic

I would suggest getting the rubicon.. By the time you add lockers, mud tires, quick disconnect front sway bar, 4:10 gears and you get the Dana 44 axels.. I thinks it's worth the extra money.. Just my opinion.. My jeep could take on some level 4 trails right out of the box! Try that with an x
