Info on the amp bracket?

I'm in the process of building up to a stereo upgrade. I want to fabricate a bracket to use in place of the factory amp bracket. I stopped by the dealer and was told that I can only get a bracket if I buy the amp with it and it's like $340.

So yeah, I'm not going to do that. Instead, I'm going to get my own sheet metal and fabricate a bracket for myself. Before I get started I want to have an idea of where I want to end up with it.

If it makes a difference, I'm doing this in a 2012 JK. If the bracket changed since 2007, I'd need information on the newer one.

What I'd like is for someone to give me rough measurements of the bracket itself, along with the mounting holes and/or tabs that are on it. Pictures of the bracket (from a couple of angles if it has tabs sticking out anywhere) would be very helpful too.

Thanks to anyone who can help me.

There is someone on the forums who fabricates and sells brackets for amps under the seat. I forget the name of the thread, maybe he will chime in here. They looked pretty sweet though. Had pics and everything .

I would try using google to search " wrangler forum underseat storage bracket" or something like that. Google is a better search for this forum then the search function within the site.

I thought about that but I'd rather have the amp in the space behind the dash if I could. Besides, it's an excuse to fabricate a bracket and have my buddy powder coat it.
