Installed Poison Spyder Brawler Lite

This thing is amazing - fits the lines of the JK perfectly...

Can't wait to get my winch now...

Looks really good--I love that you can use the stock fog lights. Is it heavy?

Finally someone has one of these. I've been waiting to see it on other jeeps outside their page.

How was the install? Time? Weight? Etc.
How is the construction? I really like the look of this and think it will look great with my flat flares but I don't like being a test subject.

Looks great btw

Thanks guys...

For a full custom bumper - it is lite - shipping weight is 74 lbs. - which then gets spread across both frame rails - let's just say my front didn't dip at all.

Install is a breeze - it literally bolts right up - remove old bumper, slide this onto the 4 bolt holes and fasten from behind - would say took maybe 1 hour (and 45 minutes of that was getting the old rusted bolts loose from the stock bumper).

It is constructed very well - tons of gussets in the back, the only suggestion I would have - is get some better self tapping screws for your fogs. The originals from mine basically went into the holes, but since they were self tapping for plastic they really didn't bite...

I used 2 coats of self-etching primer - followed by 3 coats of Textured Rustoleum, but due to overspray marks - I came back across with a couple light coats of spray bedliner (which is more durable anyway) - so would also recommend going straight to that or have it powder coated.

Very nice. Do you have to do anything with the air bag activator when you change the bumper?

How do you like your kevlars? What kind of wear are you getting on them?

Bumper looks great.

JEEP JK WRANGLER 07-09 BUMPER SHORTY WINCH HOOP BLACK * on eBay.ca (item 300502802732 end time 07-Feb-11 13:01:34 EST)

sort of the same, I wonder if the spyder is much lighter?
and cost wise I have a feeling the xrc is cheaper by a long shot.

Thanks - Absolutely not - literally unbolt the old and bolt directly in (this is of course assuming you haven't done any prior bumper modifications)

Thanks - I have had the MTR/K's for only a little of 1000 miles, and I love them. They are quiet and grip like crazy. I haven't seen any wear issues, but probably too soon to tell. There is a thread on JKO that details guys that have run them a lot longer and all love them. One guy just went on a 1600 mile roundtrip everything from 80 MPH highway to rocks, sand and in between - said they did awesome.

I got a smokin' deal through a vendor from another forum - I notice that one is in Canada, not sure how shipping would affect it - but I can surely pass his info to you if you would like.

NICE, I was thinking about ordering one next week without the bar on it...then painting it to match my jeep...after doing some custom work to the bumper..I got quoted a good price before shipping (brawler lite with shackle tabs) (470), but if you have a better hookup PM me..
