Installing a Babyseat ...

Well, now that I have a wrangler I dont have as much room as I did with the cherokee

I've installed the forward facing carseat in the back seat and noticed that it really does not set in the middle seat as it would in my cherokee

Is this the way its supposed to be setup? Almost behind the passengers seat?

Any input is appreciated..

Alfy

You poor guy...............there is nothing easy about car seats.....they are a pain in the rear....It takes me about 10 minutes just to get my grand kids buckled up in one. pheeww,
makes me tired just thinking about it.

In which case there is no "middle" seating. You'll have to put it behind one of the front seats.

mine is behind the driver... works pretty well there with having an older son to. But, if its just the wife and I with the youngest, we put it in the center of the seat and loop each side through it. Left to hold the left and right to hold the right. It helps to snug it down in the center by being able to pull the left one tighter or the right one tighter to center it straight.

Aren't there latches in the seat?

I had tried that, but the clip on the rear of the carseat itself gets attatched to one of the latches in back of the rear seats, either the right or left one.. If seat is centered than the clip in back of the seat favors one side...
Unless you dont use the rear clip of the carseat

Got the 4 door so I could actually take all 3 kids out at the same time. Forward facing baby seat fits snuggly in the middle and the little one is happy as a clam when the top is down, grinning and giggling the whole time. When I pull into the driveway she runs up to me and after the hugs she just wants to sit in her car seat.
